I’m trying to decide whether or not to take my “cold” weather running clothes. I say “cold” because I don’t run if it’s much under freezing. I have running tights, but they aren’t super warm and I have some long sleeve technical tees and some Old Navy fleeces (hey, they’re cheap and they work around here.) It’s not supposed to get above 30 the entire time we are in Wisconsin and that’s not factoring in wind chill or the huge storm that’s currently heading their way.
About that storm… we are supposed to be flying in Friday night. I think it’s a pretty safe bet that there will be some flight disruption because of the storm. While I will be happy to get to WI and get to my parents’ house (it’s an hour from the airport), I am not looking forward to dealing with stressed travelers and delayed flights with the boys. If everything goes perfectly, we’ll get there by 9:30 pm CST. That’s already quite a bit past bedtime. I refuse to think about how late it might actually get.
I did 3.5 miles on the treadmill yesterday, so 24.9 miles to 1000. Less than a marathon to go…
i say pack it. you will likely regret it if you don’t have them with you… good luck and safe travels. We’re supposed to get a huge storm here in Toronto friday too… likely the same storm system, but they’re saying it’s gonna be a doozie… so be safe. ๐ i guess pack some patience too ๐
I need to run when it’s holiday time with loved ones. Yes I love spending time with them, but I need some alone time too. So I say pack it.Safe travels!
pack it! then you have it if you need/want. best wishes with your travels.
I say pack it. Even though it has been cold, if you have time during the middle of the day when it is sunny it’s not too bad. Plus, you will need the mental break from all the traveling and holiday stuff! Hope you have a safe trip.
Pack it! Last time I visited my parents up north, for some reason it felt to me a lot warmer than it was. Believe me: I, too, wear my tights and long-sleeved shirt and fleece and hat and mittens for 45 degree days here, and I didn’t suffer too much there. Or you could just bring them and still not run. ๐
YOu can get cheap “dri fit” (I think they’re called “dri-more” or soemthing like that) pants at Walmart for $10. If you dare to go in there. The last time I was there (when I was picking up the kids Christmas stuff) I saw them and picked them up. For $10 why not?
I vote you pack it. You may need some “me time” some time during the trip.Safe travels!
I vote for packing it. You never know.Good luck with holiday traveling. I get to experience that as of Sunday. And great job on the miles! You’re so close.
Pack that stuff and add a windbreaker. You should be fine. Good luck traveling. Cheers.
Well, i drove through WI two days ago, and if it’s still weather like that, I don’t think you’ll be running outdoors.
