I’ve been noticing these posts around the blogosphere, so I was curious to see what I’d find in my own statistics. I mean, I take a look at my stats on a regular basis, so I kind of have a feel for what is popular, but I wanted to see what posts came out on top. And there were some surprises…
1. Five Stages of Running a Half Marathon
This did not surprise me at all. It went a little viral on Facebook when I published it. Honestly, I think it’s my favorite post that I have ever written. And I have yet to run a long race that doesn’t go down pretty much the same.exact.way.
2. Mental Side of Running
These tips were written as much for me as for you. I really struggled with my running this fall and these are the things I used to pull myself out of the slump!
3. How Marriage is like Fitness
I still think these are great tips, both for marriage and fitness, but I was surprised that this was one of my top posts. Hard to believe we are almost to our 20th anniversary (which will involve a trip to Cape Cod and me running Ragnar Cape Cod. Yes, my husband does indulge me.)
4. Packing for a Destination Race in 5 Easy Steps
I totally should have re-read this before we left for Florida, particularly the check the weather (I should have packed a tank top) and not to check things off before you actually pack them (hello, missing computer power cord…)
5. Confessions of an Evening Snacker
Talk about a post that I need to personally revisit! I know all of these tips work when I use them, the problem is remembering to use them when I’m in the evening cravings hour.

Finally, my post with the second highest number of hits this year was not actually a 2014 post. It was a quiche recipe post from 2012 and I really need to make it again this week.
Don’t forget, tomorrow is Tuesdays on the Run! Join us with a goal post or any running related post. I’ll be unveiling the crazy that I’ve come up with for this year. (Are you local? Want to run? There may be a lot of running in my coming year…)

Off to read and see if the stages apply to walking a half…

All great posts! We will be celebrating our 20th Anniversary during the Ragnar Cape Cod too. If you make your quiche again we’d love to have it on Meatless Monday.
