Today’s topic on Tuesdays on the Run is best apps for running. There are so many different options out there for everyone’s smartphones. It will come as no surprise to anyone here that I have nothin’ to add to this conversation. My phone is an iPhone4 that’s on its last legs and won’t let me add anything or upgrade most of what I have, but hey, I have an unlimited data plan so I can surf Facebook for as long as I want. Umm…
So, today, I just have a gratuitous cat in a box picture…
And a list of articles you might find useful. And make sure you check out Patty and April‘s posts as well as everyone who links up. I’m going to be making a list of everything I should get once I have a phone that actually functions as a smartphone again!

Thanks for sharing the articles! In my mind, you can never have too many options when it comes to finding possible apps to use. They all vary in their capabilities and having options makes it easier to find the best fit for me and what my goals are.
I’d love to try some of these out, but I’m trying to wait as long as possible before I upgrade my phone…
So much info out there! Lots of neat apps too.
I’m always on the lookout for new apps! Great idea for a link up!
Thanks! Hope you found something new and useful.
I have so many apps on my phone most of which I don’t use! I like the Nike plus app for keeping track of my runs because it syncs directly from my watch. Nice list of apps
I have a tabata app (which I use a lot for HIIT) and Runkeeper and that’s about it….
Awww! I have a few of those cat in a box pictures myself. When I was bringing home boxes to pack stuff in, Allie would hop in and inspect every one of them.
Cats love their boxes LOL.
I downloaded Charity Miles a while ago but I have never used it! I need to get on it!
That’s one I’d love to add.
I get frustrated by the tracking apps that turn off if you click your screen off. I rely on my Garmin, but like to have an app as a back-up just in case!
Ooh, that would annoy me too. Talk about a battery drain…
Definitely going to check out some of those links, thanks for sharing!!!
Let me know if you find anything awesome…
Thanks for all the links!! I used to have a cat that loved to curl up in the bathroom sink! Crazy cats!
Ha! Cats are strange.
Great compilation!! Even though I don’t use my phone apps anymore while running.
I don’t really either, but it’s nice to have options.
I recently got a new phone so I don’t have any apps on it. I will have to dowe load some of these.
I desperately need a new phone..
I’ve got nothing to add to the app chat either. I suck at tracking and that seems to work for me. Love the cat in a box!
Ha! I use my Garmin and manually add it to my mileage tracker – I’ve never even tried out Garmin connect.
Love your pic! I have absolutely nothing to add to this topic either. I do have the Garmin app on my phone so I can access my account. That’s it.
I don’t even have that LOL.
Awww ute kitty
Isn’t she? It’s a good thing she’s cute, ’cause she’s quite the trouble maker.
Gotta love the old iPhones, eh? I don’t use any apps while running mostly because I rely on my Garmin and I’m worried about draining my battery. My favourite fitness app is Nike Training Club as it has a lot of great strength workouts.
Hmmm, that Nike training club sounds kind of cool. Wonder if they have an ipad app…
I love your take on this topic – and I am not being sarcastic 🙂 I recently just upgraded from an iPhone 4, so I can feel your pain. Thanks for sharing the articles, I am going to read more into them!
I really want to upgrade, but it will mean my monthly costs go up and I hate spending money…
Haha, you crack me up.
Anything to entertain you. ;o)
