I’ve spent a lot of time at Dick’s Sporting Goods. Not for myself, mind you, but for my little soccer loving child. I’ve bought soccer balls and shoes and shin guards and… You name it – if it can be worn for soccer and is available at Dick’s, I’ve bought it. But I’ve never really taken time to check out the women’s section (mostly because I’ve always got the boy in tow and he’s not interested in shopping unless HE’s getting something.)
So, when I got asked to check out the newly reorganized women’s section at Dick’s Sporting Goods, I was totally on board.
Mama can never have enough workout wear, especially now that I’m doing the Hanson’s plan. I swear I never seem to have enough clean bras or tanks. (Skirts are not a problem, ahem.)
I stopped by mid-day on a week day because I wanted to have time to wander. And wander I did! The new layout is fabulous! Bright, with wide aisles, and everything organized by brand. Even better, within each brand colors were grouped and the manikins all had on coordinated outfits. Since we all know I’m fashion challenged, this was a huge help for me.
Of course, Dick’s carries the “usual” brands: Nike, Under Armour, Reebok, etc., but I was also excited to see some new brands. They had some cute stuff from Calia by Carrie Underwood and even a few items from Lucy. I had a hard time not buying one of everything.
In the end, I chose a handful of things: a pair of shorts, a tank, a bra, and a pair of black capris. Yeah, I know, another pair of black capris. But in my defense, Virginia is capri weather for much of the year and they extend the time period I can wear my skirts. And black goes with everything!
I can’t wait to try out my new things! Maybe I’ll even try out some other workout besides running! (I wouldn’t hold your breath though.)
Have you been to Dick’s Sporting Goods lately? What do you think of the new brands that they carry? (I’m excited!)
