1. I’m supposed to get my new dishwasher installed today. In preparation, I cleaned out everything that was under the sink. I don’t think I’ll ever need to buy sponges again – I found at least 5 unopened four packs + several open ones. Apparently it’s one of those things I buy all the time because I can’t remember if I need them. (Please send “dishwasher fit” vibes my way. I’m going to cry if it doesn’t… and yes, there is a very real possibility it won’t thanks to some choices a previous owner made.)
2. I have a confession. I didn’t run on “National Running Day”. I know. I had it on my calendar as a rest day before I realized it was a “holiday” and my body informed me that a rest day was indeed in order. It was one of those days where I was not only sore (I had to roll out of bed because my abs hurt so bad), but I was just feeling worn. I’m already jonesin’ for my next run, so I think the rest was a good idea.
3. Winner Winner Chicken Dinner
The winner of the Scrunchie Cap is Chris who said… “Love it! I always hate wearing a separate ponytail with my hats and then having my hair at exactly the right place to come out the hole at the back of the hat. This is a great idea!”
Chris, drop me a note at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll get you in touch with the folks over at Scrunchie Cap.

Hope the dishwasher fits! We don’t have a national running day. Maybe I must start it… Yay for Chris!
I didn’t run yesterday either! In fact, I didn’t do anything. First real rest day in a long time. I don’t feel bad about it though.
It will fit.
It will freaking fit.
I too have a few too many sponges. But c’mon can you ever really have too many sponges?! They are like shoes but the kind of shoes I’ll only use one then throw away.
I did not run yesterday either . . . IT band still needs a break!
Fingers crossed it will fit!
Sounds like rest was the right choice – always better to listen to your body!
I didn’t run yesterday either. I’m in a 3 day no workout and heal period….it sucks. Hope the dishwasher works out!!
I’m the same with sponges. I have too many packets and it’s only because I’m jut too lazy to get up and check when I write my shopping list. That’s also the reason that we have 20 cans of flavoured tuna and innumerable bars of cooking chocolate. But in my defence, I never know when I’m going to need to bake enough chocolate cakes, biscuits and cupcakes to feed an invading army so I need to be prepared.
I did a little something something on the treadmill. Didn’t realize it was National Running Day until I saw it on Facebook, so it was like, “well, you can’t NOT run on a day like this, right?”
It was brief. One mile of walk/run. 🙂
