Obviously, running for bling is a topic near and dear to my heart. After all, my blog is called “MCM Mama runs for beer and bling.” And since I wrote about beer (cupcakes) yesterday, today is a good day to talk about bling with Patty and April and all of our awesome #TuesdaysontheRun participants.

As you might imagine, having run 2 full marathons and 37! half marathons, I have a bit of bling. A few years ago, I had my dad build me a shelf for my medals. Apparently I was a little short-sighted.
Except that’s not all of them.
This is supposed to be where my necklaces hang.
But when you get this many in a year (and still have one more to go…), you run out of space quickly.
But here are some special ones that really stand out for me:
2014 medals I’m most proud of (Riverboat Series, 5 half marathons in 5 days)
Prettiest medal from 2014 (RNR USA)
Closely followed by this one (ZOOMA Annapolis)
Most useful (Ragnar)
Farthest I had to travel to get in 2014 (Achill Island, Ireland)
Ugliest (and coincidentally worst race) (Alexandria Running Festival)
But the one I’m most proud of and can’t wait to earn again…

Ha! I thought about signing up for Alexandria a couple years ago, glad I didn’t! The Riverboat Series medal is so awesome 🙂
I wrote about this last spring! Of course, I have a few new medals to add to my favorites. But no, I don’t run just because of the bling.
You have lots of bling my friend! It is also way more organized than mine is. Project for 2015 🙂
I love that Annapolis medal!! I’m hoping to be able to run that race soon in honor of my husband’s (mine too) grandparents.

I LOVE your medals! I couldn’t help but laugh at your HUGE collection. I wish there were more affordable medal hangers….gosh they are pricey! I would love to do a Ragnar, what a badass medal!
That’s a lot of bling! I did laugh when I saw medals hanging where your necklaces should go.
Wow, your Riverboat series medal is seriously impressive! Running 5 half marathons in 5 days is an amazing accomplishment!
LOVE THEM ALL! The ugly one cracked me up. Poor Race Director’s – the competition is pretty stiff anymore. And the Marine Corps Marathon is on my bucket list! SO AMAZING!
I’m almost as blinged-out as you…17 half marathons this year alone. The medals are getting bigger and bigger. I think some could be declared as weapons at this point. I love your Riverboat medal. That series is actually on my radar for 2015.
Wow 5 half marathons in 5 days! Congratulations on those! You sure have alot of bling. You need to get another shelf.
I love seeing other people’s medals. It’s fun seeing all the creativity that goes into designing one. You’ve got some great ones!
You have some awesome medals, and woah… a ton of them. Love it!
Great medals and great memories! I love all the Zooma ones I’ve seen!
Wow! That’s a lot of bling!! 🙂 Shows all the hard work that goes into it! Curious do you ever share next week’s topics? I’d love to link up but I always forget until it’s too late!
Wow, that’s a massive amount bling!! That’s impressive! The Riverboat one is cool! That’s an awesome accomplishment to do 5 halves in 5 days…wow!!
That is some serious bling, definitely have bling envy 🙂
You have some awesome bling! I haven’t got any yet but maybe in 2015 🙂
