Ultimate Coffee Date – June

June 6, 2015 by MCM Mama 11 Comments

It’s June! We are only two weeks away from school getting out. Woot! I’m joining up with my friends Deborah, Coco, and Lynda for a virtual coffee date.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I’m really tired this morning. We went to one of our favorite events last night – Savor. It’s all about food and beer and I ate way too much. I had a lot of good beers, but I actually did not drink as much as usual, probably because I ate so much LOL. I’ll share more about the food and beer tomorrow. I was amazingly constrained with my pictures of brewers, but that I did set up a few private brewery tours for Beer Geek and myself.  Meeting the brewers and owners is my favorite part of the event. Speaking of, I met Emily at the Ninkasa Brewery table. It was great to run into her. I’m only a little bit jealous of her job…

If we were having coffee, I’d also tell you that I’m so ready for the school year to be over. Both kids have had a good year, but we are all worn down from school and homework and orchestra rehearsals and soccer practices and games. We have a pretty laid back summer planned and I’m really looking forward to it.  Of course, come August, I’ll also be ready to send them back to school LOL.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that there’s still time to enter my hydration sampler giveaway. I’ve been picking up stuff to add to it every time I run into something new. Whoever wins will get the opportunity to try some cool stuff!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that in two weeks I get to go home to Wisconsin with the boys. We are going twice this summer, like we used to when the boys were little. Plane tickets are cheaper than summer camp around here, so I’m looking forward to a week of Camp Grandma and Papa.

Finally, if we were having coffee, I’d tell you that the Tuesdays on the Run topic is “Hot Weather Running Tips”.  In fact, here are the topics for the next few weeks:

  • June 16 – Running Solo Vs. With A Group
  • June 23 – Tips for Challenge Races (like Dopey!)
  • June 30 – 2015 Goals Update
  • July 7 – Social Media Share
  • July 14 – Show Us Where You Run!

Remember, if you link back to us, you can add ANY running related post and it doesn’t have to be written on Tuesday. So, we’ll see you there, right???

Happy Saturday! What would you share with me if we were having coffee???

Camp Grandma and Grandpa in WI is quite awesome. You know, since I “camped” there last summer. Your parents are terrific.

I am ready for school to be over too. The kids need a break. Over coffee I am sure we would talk about summer plans. I LOVE June / July & August.

I’m ready for school to be back in, after two weeks of summer break. HA! Seriously, I love when they are home because I make them do all the chores for me.

You probably don’t want to hear that I don’t even like beer. That little event sounds fun, but I think I’d enjoy it more if it were wine! 😉 So glad you had a good time though!
I’m so happy we’re done with school here. I homeschool our kids, so I need to regroup, plan next year and just have some mom time that doesn’t include teaching!
So glad to be part of the link up this month!

Wisconsin sounds good, that is where my hubby is from, I try to go every once in awhile. I can remember waiting for school to be over, you finally can take a breath! Enjoy! The beer and food event sounds like fun, I am more of a food and wine kind of girl but I can appreciate a great event!

That’s awesome that you are goingt o WI twice! It’s crazy that it’s cheaper for all of you to fly rather than summer camp. I can’t believe how much summer camps cost!! Crazy!
