As promised, I gave my body a break for the last week. I think I ran two three mile runs in the last 8 days. And they were far from fast.
Today, I planned to get back on track. Unfortunately, a rain storm and a problem with my contacts made outdoor running difficult, so I hit the treadmill. Beyond the fact that I had to wear my glasses (which was highly annoying), it just didn’t feel that good. I did manage to run 3.5 miles in 32 minutes, which isn’t horrid, but I was DONE at the end of my run. I ran that fast for 13 miles not that long ago!
If the stars align, I’ll be able to wear my contacts tomorrow and Jones will have soccer practice and I’ll be able to knock out 6 miles while he’s at practice. If the stars don’t align, well, I have a lot of drinking planned this weekend and I’ll get back on the wagon next week LOL.
Good luck! It’s supposed to rain all week. Ug. ug.
hope the stars align, but if not, enjoy and have a drink for me 😀
Good luck finding your mojo. If mine is hiding out with yours let me know 🙂
Maybe you needed a slightly longer break than you though!Hope you find your mojo soon.
Running mojo seems to come and go of its own volition. Don’t worry; it will return.
Hopefully you find you mojo as soon as possible. I finally found mine when I switched up my running time and location. Otherwise I’d been DYING!
NO BEER FOR YOU until you get Mr. Mojo Risin’!I just brewed up an Oktoberfest. I know it’s May and I’ll probably have drunk it all by the time October rolls around, but hey, I’m a rebel and I felt like an Oktoberfest.Yeah, it’ll be bottled and ready to drink by mid-July at the latest.O, man! It won’t even survive to see September! Now I’m thirsty for a beer. Thanks!
Oh girl I so totally know where you are coming from. What is it with off weeks? Not days, weeks. Ugh. At least you have the drinking to look forward to. 🙂
I think your body just needs to recover. Mojo will return, I’m fairly certain of it!
