Alternate Title: Try Not to Fall on My A$$ Four Miler

Since our roads don’t usually look like that, I don’t own yaktraks and I’ve certainly not “screwed my shoes” ala Marcy. And, as it turns out, there were significant sections of actual pavement (and a few spots of black ice). Between the slush, puddles, ice, and idiot drivers, I was happy with finishing my fastest mile in 9:27. I never fell (only came close twice) and it was a balmy 33 degrees, so thanks RunningLaur for giving me a reason to head outside instead of hitting the treadmill.

Nice job! You guys got nailed with that snow.
Love the photo of your street, and I can say that I don't miss it at all. Glad I could get you outside for a 'lil. ๐
Great job. you are a trooper I don't know if I could do snow. ๐
You took the wrong approach – you should have gone for a snowshoe PR!
Yeah I hate those icy roads and sidewalks! Even a little bit of snow can make it harder to run!
Nice job getting out there in all that snow!
wow – great job! i'm sure i would have bailed. i'm such a weather wimp!
Nice job on the run!Oh how I miss Marcy and her shoe screwing stories! LOL
I think ice makes you faster. LOL. Good job on the entire run, I'd hate to have to worry about falling the entire time.If you can get a team together for Virginia, we'd love to make it a three state competition.
right on! I need to find out about these online races – sounds fun!
Nice job! We haven't gotten hammered with snow lately, but still I swear 75 percent of the people in my city refuse to shovel. Made running on the sidewalks a bit difficult.
Hi MCM Mama, my mom called to say the package came! and she said its very heavy, can't wait to see what's inside! You should get yours by tomorrow if you didn't get it today. THANKS!
Oh, yeah. Running in the snow is no joke! Good job ๐
Great job on your run!
Awesome job getting out there in all that weather! Yuck! You guys have gotten a whole lot more than us so far…knock on wood!
I feel lucky not to have to traverse the white stuff yet :)Congrats on your 09 mileage and welcome to the 1,000+++ club..Merry Christmas
I think 9:27 in those treacherous conditions is plenty speedy indeed! Merry Christmas!
