I don’t even know where to begin. This past weekend was just AWESOME. So.much.amazingness. In fact, it was so awesome that I’m doing a weekend recap and a race recap. Yes, it was that good.
After a 3:30am wakeup to get Jones and Beer Geek off on an orchestra field trip and then a morning spent with Shoo and his class at the monuments on the Mall, I finally hit the road to Annapolis. Because I had to leave so late, traffic was not awesome and it took me almost twice as long as normal, but I got there. I quickly checked into the Loew’s where I got the coolest room key ever.
Yes, I kept my key as a souvenir!
I popped into the expo and couldn’t resist buying myself a souvenir! I also ran into a few of the ZOOMA ambassadors, so got to chat with some ladies I had never met but was already friends with. I chatted up my buddies at Altra, Feetures, and checked out the gorgeous jewelry at Scott James jewelry. Then it was time to get ready for dinner with a bunch of the ambassadors.
We all know how much I love my half zips!
For dinner, I walked over to the Federal House with a bunch of ambassadors. Such a fun meal! Beer and wine may have flowed a little freely, but the conversation was awesome and it was lovely to get to know everyone better. (I had a Resurrection and a Sweet Baby Jesus. I know.)
Me, Courtney, Lisa, Heidi, Mar, Sue, Cynthia
Resurrection and Sweet Baby Jesus – so yummy!
Then we headed to the Mocktail party, where we continued to have a good time. After we closed down the expo, we hung out for another hour or so in the hotel bar just chatting. (At that point, we were all drinking water. We did have a race the next morning, after all.)
Lisa, Me (I’ve got to learn to keep my eyes open!), Courtney, Natalie, Cynthia, Sue,
Colleen, Heidi, Lindsay, Mar
I want to hang out with these gals every weekend. Seriously, they were that awesome. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to meet every ambassador, but I feel like I came away with a whole bunch of new BFFs this weekend!
Come back tomorrow for a flash giveaway, then on Wednesday you’ll get to hear all about my race (spoiler alert: I finished LOL). Next week I’ll have the Grand Finale of my giveaways! (Hint: It’s something totally awesome and a brand I love!)
Now go enter the Fitletic Belt giveaway before it closes!

I wish we all lived closer. I’d totally hang out every weekend.
I’m loving all the recaps of the Zooma Annapolis weekend, looks like so much fun!
It was awesome. I had such a nice time and the race was pretty decent too.
Ah I tried on the half zip and couldn’t decide and didn’t get it. Now I am going to want it when I see you wear it. Glad you had fun! It was a great race atmosphere.
It was a ton of fun! I can’t wait for next year!
SO glad I got to see you again (and actually got to chat a bit more than we did at the Rock&Roll USA Expo!) Hope to see you again soon! 🙂
It was great to see you again. Hopefully you’ll heal up soon and be racing with us next time.
I love that you had a link up! Sounds like it was a fun weekend – can’t wait to read more on Wednesday!
It was a ton of fun. We thought it would be cool to have a link up since so people could find all the recaps in one place.
This is what running’s all about if you ask me. Just an excuse to have a great time with fantastic people.
Exactly! So when are you visiting the US?
Sounds like a fun weekend!!!
Love the names of the drinks – are they mixed drinks or beer?
Beers. Really good beers. ;o)
Sounds like such fun! I have always thought about running Zooma but have been out of town. Hoping to make it one of these days.
It was an awesome race. I had so much fun.
