That’s what it took, doorstep of our hotel to doorstep of our house. That’s one third the time it took us to actually get to St. Maarten. Our trip home went, for the most part, smoothly. Someone must have realized that I didn’t run much on vacation, so I had the pleasure of a sprint through the Charlotte airport. Thankfully, it’s a much smaller airport than Philly, so it didn’t kill me and we caught our plane. Win!
Since arriving home, we’ve had the pleasure of losing internet, having to install a new router, and Beer Geek stepping in cat poop that, well, let’s just say involved a lot of scrubbing and my washer is currently running a load on the sanitize setting. We’ve also had some fun though. Last night a bunch of friends came over and we finally tasted our Christmas beers. 15 of them + a four year vertical of Alaskan smoked porter. I know Jamoosh is kicking himself for not being here. ;o)
Re-entry has been a bit rough, but things are starting to fall into place for my incredibly busy week. I need to get back running or my only options for clothing will involve spandex. ;o)
Hopefully I’ll start catching up with you all soon!
I had a little chuckly over BG's cat poopcident! I can't help it; I always think poop is funny.Good luck as you get settled back in!
Getting back into the swing of things is always rough after vacation – and it never seems like the week coming back is slow – there are always way too many things to do! Good luck with laundry and errands and getting back into running. 😉
It took me a couple of weeks to recover from vacation bliss & come back to the real world 🙂
Nothing says you're home quite like standing in cat poop. Welcome back.
I almost dont like vacation because I have a hard time getting back into the groove of things. Glad you had a great vacation. The cat poop, sound awful. I hate when I step in dog poop. BOY it stinks.
Sounds like it was a wonderful vacation. That hotel looks perfect…I'm going to keep that link. Thanks for all the info in your last post :)Welcome back and hopefully it won't be too hard to get back into the swing of things.
I really need to get my husband back into beer brewing. I love your beer talk!
The only bad part about vacation is getting resettled at home. Somehow it's never that difficult to settle into a resort!
Glad you had a better (or at least QUICKER) trip home. Good luck getting back into the swing of things!
