Every fall I’m amazed at how overwhelmed I get. We just have so much going on as all the school/extracurricular activities start + both boys have October birthdays. Oy. I kept meaning to sit down this weekend and write a blog post, but every time I did, something took my attention away.
So what’s going on in my life?
This past weekend I worked (yes, for pay) at Pacers for five hours at packet pickup on Friday. Pay for something I’d do for free? Yes, please. Then I raced to pick up my boys, and we all headed out for dinner. I fell asleep at 8:30pm! Saturday morning, I got up bright and early and was at the Clarendon Day 5K/10K day of packet pickup by 6:45 am. I volunteered there for 2.5 hours (see, I will do it for free) and then headed home to get the kids so we could have fun at the Clarendon Day festivities. The rest of the weekend was just a blur of church, soccer, chores… Oh and a run.
About that run… I ran 3 miles. Yes, only 3. Why? Because it seems that regardless of the speed, pain starts in my ankle at the 2.5 mile point. Grrr.
I have until packet pickup on Friday to decide if I’m running the 10k or the 5k, but really it’s looking like the 5k unless I can get in to the chiro this week and he fixes something. And then I have to make a decision about training for Philly.
I miss my run.
I'm feeling overwhelmed too. And boring. No one wants to read about boring. I want to get paid to hand out packets. I could make that a full time gig. Did you run my virtual race? If so send me your time so I can include you in the results and prizes. Planning on posting by lunchtime.
Sorry the ankle continues to be a drag!I so know what you mean about feeling overwhelmed!
I hope chiro is able to fix you up before this weekend!
Fall and spring are hard, I think. Everything gets thrown at you at once. Really hoping you can get an answer to your ankle issues…no fun at all!
I've been going in a million directions since September 1st! Sorry about the ankle, hope PT helps!
I'm sorry your ankle is still bothering you!
Grrrr, so frustrating!!! …..have you seen a doctor?
I hate to hear the ankle is still giving you trouble. Hope it heals quickly!
Good luck with the ankle.
