At least not on the treadmill (and slow is relative, people.)
Yesterday I did another 4 mile run on the treadmill. I had the boys home with me (I have them all week while Beer Geek works), so I either needed to run on the treadmill or hit the road when he came home. It was super windy out and I was afraid I’d lose my motivation, so I hit the treadmill. My plan right now is to start super slowly and then run a couple of miles at a 10:30 pace. I got the first part right – my first mile was right around 11:30. But then I kept hitting the up arrow. Again. And again. In the end, I finished four miles in 40 minutes. (Which isn’t smokin’ by any means, but means I was running closer to a 9 minute pace at the end).
And the best part? Yep, you guessed it. No pain. Whispering: I think I’m back in action!
Coming up: 2010 in review and some goals/plans for 2011. Is there a marathon in my future? Stay tuned and find out. ;o)

I am a fan of pain-free! But an 11:30? Even for me, who thinks everyone should run slower, that is just too slow.
HOORAY!!!!!!Good wishes for your next run as well! Keep it up!!
I have the same problem with treadmill speed. Due to being on the treadmill for a while now it's wearing me out! I try to start slow but then up up up goes the speed. I think I'll cover the speed button. At least I get done quicker. So glad you are pain free!!!
Way to go Speedy! I love that pain-free running…….
