Notice I said “feel”, not that I actually did run a marathon. In fact, I haven’t gone for a run at all today or gone to the gym or swam or biked. Instead, I galloped and skipped and ice skated and sprinted.
No, I didn’t work out. All I did today was substitute teach in the 4 year old classroom at Shoo’s preschool. 12 of the cutest kids imaginable. 12 of the most inquisitive little people you could ever meet. 12 kids whose parents must have fed them sugar and caffeine before school. ;o)
It was a lot of fun, but there was a lot of pent up energy. I ended up running laps around the indoor playroom with all of them chasing me.
Now? I need a nap.
You are a brave woman! Pretty sure that counts as one heck of a workout!!
Cute post. Great blog. Keep going! I ran my first marathon last November. All 50 States? Wow! What a goal! Inspiring!
You are brave!!! I don't think I could handle 12 preschoolers all at the same time! (: Enjoy your nap!
Sounds like a workout to me!
Tough workout indeed! If you lived up here, you wouldn't have had the chance b/c we had no school. I'm sure tomorrow is out too. Not good for productivity!
Playing with kids is an *awesome* workout.
You deserve a round of applause! I cannot imagine working with 12 4 year olds ever. My 4 yr old son is straight up exhausting! Way to go!
Great way to get your laps in … with little-uns chasing you!
* high five* No small feat in a classroom with preschoolers! Hope you had fun too. Now go enjoy that nap!
I wish they could bottle the energy of little kids. I'd buy me some of that.
That's funny, I think that's why so many mothers are good at marathons, they've built up a crazy endurance! 😉
Great idea to having them chase you! You are a brave soul with that many 4 year olds – I can barely handle one!
I know the feeling (just add 10-12 years on the kids!)
