This hasn’t been the greatest fitness week of all time. Nor has it been the best food choices week. But I’m going to celebrate the fact that there were ANY successes, given what is going on here this week. I have an appointment this afternoon because it hurts to swallow. At least if it’s strep, antibiotics are super effective and I should feel good enough to run sometime this weekend.
- I ran twice. Short slow runs, but still they were runs.
- I worked out HARD on the elliptical for 40 minutes yesterday.
- I ate an entire head of broccoli as my lunch yesterday. For dinner I had sweet potato soup. Yay for vegetables!
- I forgot to cancel our veggie/fruit delivery, so we are swimming in fruits and vegetables. I hate letting food go to waste, so I’ll be choosing produce over other foods for the next food days. Win!
- The scale went down a pound, so at least I’m back in my normal “tens place”. Still have some pounds to go, but I’ll take slow, steady progress.
Today is going to be a quiet day. Jones and I both feel pretty crappy, so there’ll be a lot of reading and hanging out. Shoo and Beer Geek headed out to Udvar Hazy Air and Space museum for the day.
Happy 11-11-11 day! And Happy Veteran’s Day to all the veterans out there, especially my favorite one! Your service to the country is much appreciated!
Keep focusing on the positives! That sounds like a few good wins for the week 🙂
Sounds like a successful week to me!! I need to eat more veggies!!! stopping by from the Fitness Friday hop! http://www.mysocalblog.com
those are some big wins!
I'm feeling a little sick too – my friend keeps telling me onion soup with lots of onions and garlic – she swears it's a cure-all! Hope you feel better soon! Here from the blog hop!
My family thanks your family for it's service! I am going to go all fruits and veggies after the 50 miler. I have to get serious about getting lean again! Love that extra F/V!!
GREAT picture!
I like the phrase "normal tens place." I call it a decade! Congrats on the weight loss!
awesome and I love your photo! 🙂
I love veggies. I ate green beans and plums for dinner last night! I used to get one of those fresh veggie boxes and loved it but never could keep up with it all! Next time I need to split it with someone!
I'd say you had a great week! Even more so if you're not feeling well. When I started community supported agriculture this year I ended up planning meals around the veggies with the veggies as the main entree. Now it's habit!Hope you feel better soon.
Congrats on the loss!Hope you guys feel better soon!
If I ate that much broccoli, I'd be farting for WEEKS!!!! Yes, focusing on the positives keeps us moving forward…no point in getting stuck in the negative, right?
