We are now on hour 25 in Philadelphia. We should have been in St. Maarten yesterday. We are currently waiting on the glue to dry on our rescheduled flight which is now an hour and a half late and counting. No lie.
In an effort to make the best of it, we did the touristy thing last night and checked out the Liberty Bell and hit a brew pub.
Thankfully, the airline gave us a little bag of goodies for the night.
(Note that even the apology card was
made in China LOL)
I will never travel again without at least an extra pair of underwear. (Thankfully Macy’s solved that problem.) If USAirways loses my luggage on top of all the other headaches, I WILL be going on a shopping spree in St. Maarten and sending them the bill. Just sayin’.

Wow…. I'm sorry your flight is delayed! I visited Philly once – great city!
So sorry to hear you're missing your vacation! If you get stuck there any longer, check out Mad Mex – Mexican place with an AWESOME beer list. Beer makes anything better 🙂
that stinks….that is really delayed huh?
That totally sucks! However, the Made in China stuff cracked me up! Hope you get there soon!
Oh, I feel your pain! This happened to us a couple of years ago – missing your vacation is the worst. It's also the reason I always travel with a carryon with at least 1 clean shirt and underwear 😉
That sucks about your flight delay! Hopefully, by now, you're on your way!
Oh no, that is a killer delay! Glad you made the most of it. Hope you are on the beach by now!!
Oh poop! I hope you're on your way by now!
Typical of USAirways. (Or should we start calling it ChinAIRWAYS?) Way to make the best of it though! You did exactly what I'd have done.
Oh Word!!! Hope you take off soon, have a safe flight and a great trip!
ARGH! I hope you are there now!
On man – so hope you are in St. Maarten right now as I type this . . . I know you are – enjoying the warmth, sand and surf . . . and tomorrow the bright sunshine.Relax and enjoy!
I can't believe that you're going through this! Looks like you're making the best of it, though.
I'm reading your newer post now too – you have crazy travel "luck"!! I'm glad you eventually made it safe ad enjoy your time in SXM! Dutch side or French?
