…barely.
I have one of the stuffiest colds I have had in a LONG time. Overall, it’s probably the worst cold I’ve had in a couple of years, but the coughing is not quite as bad as the last really bad cold I had (seriously, the last truly bad cold had such a wicked cough that I could hardly eat because every time I had a coughing fit, I threw up. Yeah, that was fun.)
Anyway, I’ve been trying to write all of my year end posts that I like to write, but every time I sit down at the computer, I think “a nap sounds better” and off to the couch I go.
Despite not wanting to run at all, I did manage 1.6 miles on the treadmill last night (Beer Geek and a friend guilted me into it), so the streak lives. And as soon as I can take a deep breath through my nose (or heck, any breath that doesn’t lead to coughing), I’ll get back on my training plan.
Because I’m pretty sure my “fall back” week was not supposed to be seven runs of approximately a mile distance. Oops.
On the bright side, even if I only run 1 mile a day, I’ll hit 100 miles this month, something I haven’t done in ages!
And I’m getting a heck of an ab workout from the coughing…
Way to find the silver lining there 🙂
You are getting there….even if it is with reduced lung capacity! You will be back to health soon! Things will continue to get better! Look forward to seeing what 2014 has in store for you!
I hope you’re feeling better soon.
Feel better soon.
What program do you use to write down the runs you have to do?
For planning runs, I put them on a spreadsheet in Google Drive. For “done” runs, I track my mileage at http://www.runningahead.com. Since I write my own plans, I like the flexibility of a spreadsheet.
