1. I’m heading to the gym today. I’ve successfully gotten back to four days of running per week (including a smidgen of barefoot running). I’d like to add a fifth, but I think I’m going to wait a couple more weeks. In the meantime, I’m back up to a 6.5 mile long run, so I feel comfortable looking for a half marathon this spring.
2. I’m currently reading The Long Run by Matt Long. I’d read the article about him in RW, but this is so much more in depth. It’s awe inspiring and a really good read too.
3. We have been trying to get rid of a flying squirrel that has taken up residence in our house for almost two months now. Every time we think we’ve figured out it’s pattern and set traps, it changes. I’m not enjoying being outsmarted by a rodent. When the saga first began, I was all zen and “let’s just get it out of the house”. I think I’ve reached the point now where I’d happily dispose of it with my bare hands if.I.could.catch.the.damn.thing.
In theory, both of my boys are going to school today. I could really use all of your collective good vibes that they stay there. I have work to do. ;o)
Linky up if you did a 3 Things Thursday post…
Be careful, if there is a flying squirrel I'm sure a moose is somewhere nearby! HA
No Three Things today for me. Work is absolutely crazy. Good that your running is progressing so well. Have a good Thursday!
Everyone is reading that book. Feel free to pass it along when you are done!
I'm thinking about getting that book for the bf as a Valentine's Day gift! Let me know if you like it. 🙂
That flying squirrel sounds like a real pain in the arse! Good luck catching it!
Sorry about the rodent problem…we have nice sized rats that I see wandering around our backyard quite often. It's FABULOUS! 🙂
I know that I wouldn't be saying it if it was happening to me…..but….a flying squirrel in the house? How cool!!!!! :-)So, you know how you feel you understand better or write better if it's with pen and paper, instead of a computer? I tend to get allot more out of the books I listen to in the car, compared to the pile of them on my night stand at home. I just finished The Long Run audio book the other day. What a great story!!!
sorry, but i laughed at the thought of being outsmarted by a rodent…
Wait, flying squirrels are real??
I lived in a house once where we had a flying squirrel. Me named him "Mirrel" b/c at first, we couldn't decide if he was a mouse or a squirrel. We never managed to trap him.
Two things … actually a post about a flying squirrel. And a comment about someone else who had a flying squirrel. I give up universe, you win.
Get a cat or two.
