Fila Toning Resistance Capris and shirt review

February 10, 2013 by MCM Mama 2 Comments

I recently got the chance to try out a couple of new items from the Fila line.

For the bottom, I was sent the Toning Resistance Capris in grey.

I really loved the color and they were well made and a heavy weight material (heavier than most capris I own).  I think they were designed primarily for gym work, but I don’t do a lot of that, so I ran in them.  Unfortunately, because the fit didn’t work for me, I found that they slid down quite a bit during my run.  So, I tried them for yoga instead.  They worked much better for that.  They are a really cute pair of capris with great dealing, but they just don’t work for my body.  I’m just too short and curvy for the design.  I think they’d be awesome on someone not built quite so much like a pear LOL.  I did run in them 3 or 4 times + two yoga classes, so they’ve been washed a number of times and still look like new.  I’m just sad they don’t fit me well, since I run in capris most of the year.

I also got sent the Contrast Stretch Long Sleeve top.  So cute!

This worked much better for me than the capris.  It’s the perfect weight for cool day or as a layer under a jacket on a cold day.  It was quite comfy and I loved the bright green (St. Patrick’s Day is coming up!)  I’ve only washed it a couple of time, but again, it looks like new (I don’t dry my tech stuff in the dryer.)  I definitely recommend this as a winter running shirt.

I have to say, Fila is much more reasonably priced than many companies and the quality is awesome.  So, I’d definitely recommend checking out their products if you get the chance.

Disclaimer: I got the items free from Fila.  All opinions are my own.

Great looking shirt! I own a fila shirt but I find it made from material that is just too heavy.

Reasonable price? I’m definitely checking them out. Love the capris!
