Half Marathon #11 in 79 days is done! It had its good and bad, but it’s done!
Today’s giveaway is for a pair of Crazy Compression Socks!
I swear by compression. I have run every.single.one of my 11 half marathons this spring wearing compression socks. I have spent most of the rest of the day after my races wearing compression socks or sleeves. They keep my crabby calf happier and they help me with recovery afterwards. I’ve seriously had zero soreness in my lower legs this whole adventure!
What makes Crazy Compression different? The designs. So many patterns to choose from! In fact, you can even have them make you a unique pair with your own design. The possibilities are endless!
I have worn my pair a few times after a race, but I’ve yet to race in them. I’m too close to the end of this adventure to risk wearing something new in a race. I’ve loved them for recovery though. They aren’t quite as tight as some, which I like because sometimes with other ones, I end up with sausage toes. I also like that they are made in the USA.

What do you think of the crazy patterns? Is that a plus or a minus to you?

Something interesting…. hmm….. I lived in 5 countries before I was 17, but have been stuck in Maryland since 1996. (I’ve moved 8 times within Maryland since then, though!)
I don’t mind the print. I would rather it on my socks than my clothes.
Hmm something interesting…I don’t like bananas, haha!
Something interesting… I get weird short-term obsessions with new hobbies but it’s hard for me to sustain interest in things. That’s why it’s great with running that there’s always a new race or new challenge on the horizon!
I do the same thing – and by obsession I mean nothing else gets done, then I forget about it. go figure. Running has stuck though!
Something interesting, hmm… I just got to work after voting in my states primary elections!
I love the prints! When I run I like to wear bright colors and this adds extra flair 🙂
I love the prints. I usually only wear compression after a long run when I am just hanging around the house anyway, so the wilder the better. Makes my boys laugh. My library director doesn’t care for “flashy” clothes, so I couldn’t wear them to work.
Love the crazy patterns!!
Prints are fun!
Something interesting…..I hate both bananas and avocado. People think I’m weird, lol.
Something interesting….I am a wedding photographer in Las Vegas!
Patterns are always a go on socks!!
Something interesting, hmmm….I eat pizza with lots of toppings but no cheese. My husband won’t answer the door when it’s the pizza delivery guy :).
Something interesting about myself….my knees “bend” backwards. Mostly I just mean they hyperextend, but when I have my legs flat on the ground, I can lift my heel a good 5 inches off the ground when I bend my knee back as far as I can. It’s a fun way to impress kids.
11 half marathons!!?? Holly cow, that is so cool. I have been wearing compression socks at night now since I have been training for my first half marathon 🙂
hmm..interesting…I have been type 1 diabetic since I was 14
I love yoga and running!
I like white chocolate but I don’t like regular chocolate.
Something interesting is that I’m getting the carpets cleaned today! Even the stairs! It’s been at least two years…
I’m jealous. We only have carpet in the basement and it really needs cleaning. I think of it every time I do a pushup LOL.
something interesting. hmmm. Not sure if this is interesting, but I have a strange fear of heights. Certain stadium seats, bridges, and tall buildings scare me, but I’m generally okay on roller coasters and in airplanes. I haven’t quite figured out what the exact trigger is.
Huh, that is interesting. I’m fine with heights, but not when my kids are up high LOL.
I can read upside down and backwards. So, watch out when I’m standing at your desk!
I can too! It was a great skill to have when the kids were little and I was reading in their classes.
Some crazy patterns are better than others, but as long as I can wear it with plain black shorts/capris, I’m in!
I have a love for chickens. I have a few bantams that are like pets.
Crazy! ;o)
I love compression sock and sleeves! Plus, the crazy colors are right up my ally 🙂
Crazy…. hmmm…. well my mother in law has a “I like to buy too much syndrome even though i have two of those at home already” so on the weekend, I went ‘shopping’ to grab a few things from her — very small things like lotion and a few wagon wheels, not like their computer or furniture anything like that 😉
My friend had a mom that couldn’t resist a good deal on non-perishable foods. We used to help ourselves to stock up when we were in college LOL.
hhmm…Well, there’s no way to ever bring this up in conversation so I’ll blurt out that when I was pregnant with my daughter my L5 vertebrae had 2 fractures on either side of it that I didn’t know about. My L5 ‘shifted’ out of place (as my belly grew), screwed up all the disks up my spine and left my spine looking like someone tied a knot with it. Baby was born fine but I was left walking with a cane for 18 months until the fractures got bigger and I had to have spinal fusion and laminectomy. Fast forward 4 years from my surgery I had another baby and just completed my 4th half marathon in 22 days.
Oh I ran MCM in 2013 and 17.75K the last 2 years too. Awesome races!
Way to get back on track! Nice job on the half marathons!
I ran 2 marathons in a month back in 2011.
I am obsessed with listening to men with Irish, British, and Aussie accents. I could talk to them all day. Something sexy about the accent 🙂
Yes. Just yes.
Something interesting…I can only wink my left eye. If I try to wink my right eye, I look like I have a facial tic.
Crazy patterns are good…to an extent…
I won my hotel stay for my half marathon this weekend. 🙂
I am a 28 year old mom of two little girls and I am Married for the second time

Ooh – I’d love a pair of these! I don’t know if this qualifies as interesting or just freaky but I can pop my right shoulder in and out of its socket at will (kind of like dislocating it except without the pain).
Eww! Beer Geek and Jones can do weird things with their joints too. It totally weirds me out. ;o)
I was a union electrician in my previous life.
I started dancing when I was four years old.
Did you dance from 4-now or when did you stop?
Danced through college. I would love to get back into it, but where is the time to do so?!?
I love the fun prints on these socks 🙂
Something interesting….I love dark chocolate and green olives and I can play 6 instruments
Totally jealous of the instruments. I’m awful with music – probably why I’m so impressed with my son’s cello playing.
Hmmm….my kidneys weren’t connected when I was born…definitely an interesting way to start 😉
Something interesting….. I didn’t wear shoes to school when I was little 🙂 In Hawaii we didn’t have to. Also…sometimes I crave pickle juice!
Fact: I like cheese-flavored things (chips, for example) but sliced or melted cheese makes me gag.
Something interesting about me. I have the same birthday as my step mother, and my half sister both of whom I have met only once but communicate with via facebook and e-mail.
I love crazy patterns and bright colors! definitely a plus for me.
